Every cat has a story, and every life deserves to be remembered beautifully
I am originally from Nara, Japan, and now based in the UK. I came to the UK at 37 to study Art & Design at Nottingham Trent International College, then continued on to the BA (Hons) Photography course at Nottingham Trent University. I moved here together with my two sibling cats, Riley & Lilia, who inspire much of my creative work.
Before coming to the UK, I worked in the hospitality industry to develop communication skills, assisted at a veterinary clinic specialising in neutering stray cats, and volunteered in animal welfare education. These experiences shaped my belief that creativity can support animal welfare in ways traditional rescue work cannot.
Why I Create
My brand, LILIA LILIUM is built on a simple belief: Art can deepen the bond between humans and animals, and support animal welfare in a sustainable way. I create to bring comfort and joy to pet owners and cat lovers. I create to contribute to animal welfare through a gentle, creative approach. These two motivations form the heart of my work.
The name LILIUM comes from the Latin word for “lily,” a flower symbolising purity, dignity, and beauty.
